College football programs love to have camps during the summer to recruit the best of the best kids and that is how they due most of their observations on kids they either know about already or do not know about at all. I would be one of those kids that go to the camps to be seen by coaches around the country and some coaches already know about me but it would definetly help my recruiting process out and help me get looked at by coaches so much more because they do not have to go through a bunch of film, they can just watch and see if I am good enough or not in person. I really respect how they run camps and get to evaluate players from everywhere because not every coach you want can watch your film and it helps so much at camps where every coach goes to can actually see you in person. Another big thing camps provide is a chance to actually talk to the coach in person and like get a chance to show who you are as a person and not just a player because many coaches look at you more as a person then a player because character is a big thing and with the camps not happening it is hard on the players because now they do not get a chance to do that. I think the cancelling of these football camps is hard for programs also because they can not make money of the camps and that is very important for them and they can not do that anymore. These are many reasons on why i believe that the closing of football camps is a big deal and a huge reason why this virus is such a big deal and every program is going to have to deal with it.
